Is Lyrica used as a psych med?

I take Lyrica for neuropothy (nerve damage). I know that it is a newer form of the med Neurontin.

When I first became ill with psychological problems I was placed on Neurontin for a "mood stabilizer". I know both Neurontin and Lyrica are used to treat seizures and are prescribed off label to treat other illnesses.

So, if Lyrica is a newer version of Neurontin is anyone being prescribed it to treat a psychological illness.
