there have been cases of ginseng induced hypertension...however, I think the culprit is the Parnate itself, which is much more likely to cause spontaneous hypertension than Eleuthero. I've been on parnate (or nardil) for years, and still occasionally (a couple times a month) get slightly hypertensive about 30-45min after taking it.
