To no one in particular, tachyphylaxis is mis-used in the context of antidepressants. Tachyphylaxis is a rapid process. In the context of ADs, I think that desensitization is the proper concept, but it's not commonly used. Even tolerance would be a more appropriate term than tachyphylaxis.

That said, language evolves. And the victory apparently goes to tachyphylaxis.
