Your suspicion is plausible, but there isn't enough information in the article for me to draw a firm conclusion. Given that the SAMe decarboxylase enzyme is essential to viral replication, supplying a ready source of SAMe would conceivably enhance the output of that particular enzyme, perhaps enhancing viral replication. Sorry.
