In reply to for chems to prevent DA tolerance. is Mg adequate?, posted by iforgotmypassword on June 5, 2008, at 10:54:59
Welp im on 350mg and the energizing activating effect does go away once you stabilize a dose. It definetly does have glutamate blockading properties as its main function but to be honest anything beyond that is just a guess. As far as research is concerned the drug is magic. We know in higher doses it might display very slight anti-psychotic type D2 agonism but we arent sure.
This is what i know, any sedative or anti-psychotic blunts the antidepressant effects greatly. It seems to have a synergy with stimulants. Magnesium doesnt seem to do anything to it as im currently taking 400mg of glycinate. It definetly screws with your word seeking abilities and verbal vocabulary. At 400 mg my eyes were so out of focus i literally was dyslexic, letters started switching positions.
My experiance may be unique though as i also had other complications with it such as minor paranoid psychotic features "oh god people are watching me" and minor visual/audio disturbances. I've never hallucinated in my life aside from once after taking way to much dexedrine.
