it's also called "autonomic dysfunction" and is characterized by a muscle and nerve oversensitivity, spasms, anxiety attacks, hyperventilation, fatigue, pain in chest and stomach (including spastic colon).
Stress is a trigger, and a chronic deficiency of magnesium might be the cause.
It often goes hand in hand with cvs or fibromyalgie.
In short, especially an anxiety feeling (without a cause) is the main problem.I have found another possibility:
how about Lamictal(lamotrigine )?One doc suggested that I might have (also....) a bipolar disorder with rapid cycle. At the time it seemed ridiculous, coz I've never experienced a real manic episode. But when you consider that SSRI's are bad for me,that I feel good for some weeks with Nortryptiline and then suddenly all bad and depressed again without any reason, there might be something to say for it...?
"Lamictal is a common treatment for bipolar disorder, especially if depression predominates. It can be used to treat chronic pain, especially
neuropathic pain, and may be useful in some refractory cases.
Lamotrigine improves the quality of sleep, especially by increasing the
amount of REM sleep.
Perhaps owing to these multiple modes of action lamotrigine is a medication that improves the condition of many CFS/ME patients.
It also has some antiviral action against HHV6."
