I experienced the same thing with Lyrica. I initially found it to be mildly antidepressant. However, this effect was lost and replaced by an exacerbation of depression that lingered for weeks after discontinuing the drug. Neurontin does exactly the same thing to me. I plan to stay away from alpha2delta subunit ligands of the calcium channel in the future. Both of these drugs have this property in common.
