I'm almost pleased to hear this isn't just a UK/NHS limited problem. My pdoc once said taking benzos was like drinking beer all day. He won't give me any more sleeping tablets either. You have my sympathy.
I don't agree with this fad of using antipsychotics in preference to benzos for anxiety. The risk/benefit ratio just doesn't balance IMO.
