Everything was great Saturday. Occasionally waking too early and occasional spells of low blood pressure. Then Sunday all hell broke loose.
I went to bed Saturday night at 10 and woke up Sunday at 3:30 am. My blood pressure was so low I couldn't see or hear and had to walk with my head between my legs to the kitchen to get coffee. I was nauseated and after having the coffee I had severe diarrhea. I felt like crap all day. Diarrhea, nausea and low blood pressure. I only took two Nardil that day. I was afraid to take more.
Then today it got worse. I went to bed last night at 9 (exhausted) went right to sleep and woke up at 1:30. I got up drank one cup of coffee, decided I couldn't make it. My blood pressure was even lower than Sunday. Again with the nausea and diarrhea. At 2:15 I took 1.5mg Xanax and went back to sleep from 3:30 to 5 when Iwoke again with extremely low blood pressure and nausea.
I have been sick all day. I have taken three 1hour naps, and every time I get up I have the low blood pressure. I began to feel better about 8pm.
I called my pdoc and asked for some sleep med that I could take if I woke up at 2am again. Also I thought it ought to be another med than the trazadone I've been using since trazadone can lower blood pressure and causes me to wake up with a hangover if I don't get 8 hours. AGain I took only 2 Nardil today.
Something is suddenly very, very wrong. I called my pdoc and he called me in some Ambien. I asked what could be going on and he said perhaps an interaction between the Nardil and the Geodon I take since Geodon has some 5ht raising properties. But wouldn't that make my blood pressure higher not lower? And why would it start overnight?
I am scared to death. I am scared of taking only 30mg of Nardil - pdoc said "but aren't you feeling more depressed?" when I told him I had lowered the dose? But I can't go on with this low blood pressure/nausea/waking up at 3 every morning. I don't know what to do.
Should I just quit the trazadone? But then I'll definitely wake up too early. Should I continue at 30mg of Nardil instead of 45? But then I may get depressed again. And what's with the nausea?
Meds:
am: 15mg Nardil
20mg Geodon
.75mg Klonopin
5mg Valium4or 5 hours later : 15mg Nardil
An hour after that: 20 mg Geodon
.75 Klonopin
5 mg ValiumAnd up to now 3pm 15mg Nardil
Bedtime 100mg trazadone
40mg GeodonWhat's wrong with me? What's going on? How quickly will I lose my remission if I stay on 30mg of Nardil instead of 45? Why am I suddently nauseated? Why did my blood pressure suddenly get so extrememly low?
And what should I doI am already tapering one med - Klonopin - and don't think I can taper Geodon at the same time as my pdoc suggested. Help...
