I take Zonegran as a preventative for migraine and was told that it could curb my appetite. I take Remeron as my antidepressant, and initially it greatly increased it. I did not find any effect on my appetite from Zonegran, but my appetite eventually returned to normal. (The migraines are being kept well under control.) I didn't notice any change in my mood from taking Zonegran. I guess I'd consider it "mood neutral" for me, but perhaps that's because of the dosage I'm on - 75mg, twice a day. I couldn't take Topamax either, but because it caused my hair to fall out. Which only goes to show you that you never know how any of us are going to react to these medications :-)

On the upside, I haven't felt any nasty side effects from taking the Zonegran, so that's a very good thing in my book.

Good luck,
ClearSkies
