I wouldn't worry about missing a single dose of Zyprexa - it's when you go without for several days that bad things begin to happen -- I know from experience. Zyprexa is a thienbenzodiazapene, and while it affects different transmitters in the brain, it is a cousin to Valium and Klonopin. If you've taken either of those drugs over a long period of time, you could experience withdrawal if you suddenly stop - but you wouldn't notice it within the first day, and I'm guessing that those drugs' cousin, Zyprexa, invokes a similar kind of withdrawal experience if multiple doses are missed - but not just missing one dose. I've done that without ill effect (and I take 20-30 mg a night). I've also gone for several days without Zyprexa and all the bad stuff comes right back, and I go into a deep month long depression, even after having started the Zyprexa again. The time was really miserable for me, but it was a very educational experience, and I will not do it again - I am now quite vigilant about taking Zyprexa regularly. Maybe I could say I am physically addicted to the benzodiazapine part of the drug, but I'm totally off my rocker without it, and have been taking it for almost 8 years now - it being the only drug to ever make me act normal and stable.
Merry Christmas!
