Buspar. Same as SSRIs? Induce mania??

I am bipolar and unable to take any ssri's. I still have quite bad anxiety, and i am tired of klonopin. I was wondering if there's a history of Buspar inducing mania. I know it works on serotonin, so that scares me. All the ssri's made me feel much worse.
