I did not have to go off of my Parnate when I had surgery to correct a deviated septum from a broken nose. The anesthesiologists (some) are not keen about this, but they can make adjustments so that one can be on Parnate and still have surgery.

In fact, I am on 40 mg. Parnate now and plan on having surgery on my left thumb joint down by the wrist in probably October. I don't plan on going off of the Parnate.
