Aceon (Perindopril) As an Antidepressant

Posted by Mishal on July 1, 2007, at 22:39:49

Hi

ACE inhibitors which crosses blood-brain barrier have been found to have some antidepressant properties. Now, coming off prozac and being on Perindopril I find it energizing, calming and inducing an overall sense of well being. That's on a tiny dose of 4mg per day.

I will be increasing this to 8mg by next week. So far, no side effect at all but an increase in libido. This could probably be because of the sense of well being, or coming off prozac. I don't know it precisely.

Ovrall, This medication has been terrific for me.
