> Just finished week three and have received no noticeable antidepressant benefits at all, which was why I was prescribed this...calmer and flatter yes but that's it... maybe I need a dose adjustment? 30 apparently not much? see dr. in one week.
> However I'm not going to make it if I don't get some sleep, I literally sleep maybe two hours in the early am after tossing and turning all night and have for 21 nights now. The novelty has more than worn off; I am DESPERATE to get just one night's sleep but very afraid to mix medications... I know many of you take prescription sleeping meds (seroquel?) but are any OTC sleep pills safe? (tylenol pm used to work great for me) but I am terrified to mix pills. If any brands are safe PLEASE let me know, I am at my wits end here exhausted.
> ps) less serious but very annoying - does dry mouth ever go away. thank you all. missjulieWhen I was on Parnate, I had problems with insomnia for about a month or so, but after about 6 weeks, I was fine. Also, I felt a profound antidepressant effect after about a month.
I found that if you take the full dose before noon, you will have far less sleeping problems. Benadryl is perfectly safe, and effective. For me, melatonin works the best (better than benzos, etc) You have a lot of options, just ask your Doc. Good luck!
