There are usually people there from maybe 8pm est until midnight est.
but I've been surprised. sometimes I'm so bored/lonely/hurting that I just log on and start talking to myself. then someone might join me. you never know
Babblechat :1 is something that's hard to resist.
by the way, I'm sorry that things feel so hard. I got that reaction from nearly all of my friends who I've told about mental illness. The real friends freaked out but then came back when they felt strong enough to deal with it. The other friends are those that I keep around for socializing, but I wouldn't depend on them, really.
Having said that- I've also been amazed that when you say you're in trouble that people really reach out to you. I was hospitalized recently (psych) and let people think I had a stomach bug. I didn't tell any lies, really. I just said I couldn't eat or drink for a few days and that I had to go to the ER and then I had a bad reaction to some medication. That I felt nauseous (which I did-- wellbutrin is not my friend).
So, sometimes you can just say you're in trouble or you're hurting and just ask someone for distraction. Ask them out for dinner, or tell them to organize a bbq party and you'll bring dessert. They don't need to know your symptoms and medication history to be able to support you.
please take good care,
-Ll
