I'm currently on 10mg doxepin for sleep, though I've tried up to 75mg (way too groggy). Doxepin at those doses isn't very good for anxiety, though the dose may be too low, according to my pdoc. Low dose Lyrica is a tad better for anxiety, but not much. The best combo for anxiety for me was 10mg propranolol/0.5mg clonazepam. I went off that combo as it did not have much effect on my chronic pain and the pdoc was a tad nervous keeping me on a benzo long term. Nothing helps with stage 4 sleep like doxepin or amitriptyline, however.
I'd like to give propranolol or pindolol another try to see if I can ratchet down my fight or flight response. I'm interested in the protocols of Patrick Wood, M.D. for fibromyalgia. I believe my anxiety/panic is a symptom of that bigger picture.
Good luck!
