It means that the AD is having some biochemical effect that you are resposive to. It is often a positive indicator that the AD may work. I've found that if I don't have any side effects when starting a new med, I don't get any AD effect. Makes you wonder about studies done against placebos. No side effects, therefore you are probably getting the placebo.
