Sure, old line drugs can be as effective as new atypical agents which have some of their own drawbacks but it doesn't take into account the human dignity aspect of the patient, such as EPS and the likelihood of TD, especially in the elderly and those with affective disorders.<<<<<
YES>YES>YES!!!!How horrible can that be...strapped into a
wheelchair or sitting in a chair in a dayroom,
your mouth making strange movements, your
arms and legs jerking around. If you're
unfortunate enough to have akathisia, they're
liable to interpret that as agitation and give
you MORE Haldol or whatever.A living nightmare....
