Yes, internal bleeding. Vitamin E can cause subarachnoid hemorrhages, just outside the internal brain, because it downregulates Vitamin K and upsets prothrombin time.
This is definately not a common occurrence, but it has happened and is why Vitamin E pills above an already increased OTC standard (400 IU, I do take it myself most days if I remember), dosal related is not without risk and it is also, remember, a fat soluble vitamin, so it can remain in the body (I'm not sure how long).
This is not to say that 1600 IU hasn't been used in studies before, Parkinsons, TD, etc, but I'm just saying you should have a doctor to call should something very unlikely happen.
I don't know what else to say on this subject except I... where... is your doctor?
