Throwing guilt or shame at people seems to me unhelpful, and I would wager that most of the people on this thread have tried all sorts of sleep-hygiene and lifestyle remedies, possibly without success to get by.
I think your point of view would be more useful to people, were it not phrased in a recriminating and hyperbolic way.
