From Paxil to Effexor

Hi Everyone....has anyone found Effexor to be more effective anxiety/depression wise than Paxil? Ive been taking Paxil for years but lately feel like its not doing the job it used to do, not only that Ive gained apprx 50 lbs. Any feedback is appreciated.
