Hi y'all --
I'm back. I hate to just keep posting about pain meds, but right now this is my biggest question. All of a sudden my Orthopedic surgeon decided to take me off Vicodin and put me on Darvocet. I have not taken any yet, but I read that Darvocet should not be taken by "people who have been treated for depression". I take WellbutrinSR 200 mgm twice daily and Strattera 40 mgm three times a day. (I have taken both for four or five years) I have severe knee and back pain and am waiting to begin a series of Hyalgan injections in my knees. I had a few Vicodin left so I asked if I could get a prescription and I got Darovcet! (The Hyalgan injections take a couple of weeks to kick in, I have had them before.) Will the Darvocet work as well as the Vicodin? As long as the pain is under control I can function -- without something, I am pretty much laid up!!
Looking for reassurances Thanks GH
