I take the Klonopin (although at 1 mg it is definately depressing) to avoid the Xanax up and downs. I tried Xanax XR, but that just didn't work well at all.

Do you mean substitute the Xanax for the Klonopin-so that maybe I'd be taking 1.5 mg (0.5 x 3)Xanax/day instead of 0.75 mg Klonopin + 0.5 mg Xanax?
