Chewed up my stomach; even my friend, "Iron Guts" still refers to it as "pretty rough on the tummy," after being on it for close to 4 yrs. NO other med has ever bothered her stomach.
I tried lowering the dosage; no difference re: stomach upset - constipation, and, especially, nausea.
Felt abit speedy; since not too speedy, I didn't mind that part one bit. But, just like Ritalin for me (I don't have ADD; I have Major Depressive Disorder), IMO, Provigil is not a true augmentor. I know/ can feel the difference. My (last ever) shrink agreed. However, at least I didn't have the terrible crashes - that I had on Ritalin - with Provigil.
Another problem with Provigil for me was that it simply wasn't consistent. Days 1-3 were almost always good - if you can call wide awake and able to (over) focus while still depressed good. By day 4, these "gains" waned until nothing. This happened each time I tried Provigil, I was on fairly long trials; call me ever hopeful...
