I believe you about Parnate causing the acne. There's just this continuous undereporting problem of side effects and most docs use the pdr as the holy grail. In the past few days, the FDA has now esatblished sustained hypertension with Effexor and effexor XR in some folks after several reports.
I don't understand why your doctor put you on Emsam with your interstitial cystitis. The insert clearly inicates urinary tract infections and frequent urination under the urogenital section. Is there any way you can add on Neurontin, low doses cylosporine, or oral Pentosan Polysulfate which have been effective in treating your disorder? Maybe you've already tried these in the past without any luck. I don't have an answer as to why the Parnate is causing the acne. The abstract I sent you was dealing with treating challenges to resistant acne. I'll holler if I find an answer for you.
