It could be a switch in the way Lamictal is working for you, or it could be a new flavor of anxiety for you. Or, it could be any number of other things. Space aliens could have kidnapped you for all I know...
But to put your mind at ease, the irritability and forgetfulness sound like me when I'm anxious and getting depressed. And it's a vicious circle: I know that I'm anxious, I know that I'm getting depressed, so I get anxious about getting anxious and depressed, and the irritability upsets me, too. I get very self-critical for forgetting something, or for snapping at my Beloved Husband (who is sometimes saintlike), or for not accomplishing much. Which just adds to the downward spiral.
Only you know whether you feel comfortable waiting for 19 May -- I see my pdoc then, too -- but you could certainly call and try to move it up. I certainly think that would be a good thing, if only to help set your mind at ease.
I hope you feel better soon.
