Trish,
Wellbutrin makes lots of people grumpy, at least for the first few months. :>} If I were you, I'd try one of the SSRI's again at a low dose, probably with a benzo at least at first. I personally feel the SSRI's and benzos are so safe compared to the alternatives in terms of toxicity, possible causation of major physical problems, etc. that I'd exhaust them before I tried something else. You may just be very stimulated initially by SSRI's; that's not unusual-just because you get buzzed doesn't mean anything other than you need to start at a much lower dose. For example, many panic disorder people like myself get blown out of their socks with just about any SSRI and have to start at a VERY low dose (maybe a tenth of what is usually recommended). Good luck in finding meds that work for you-it makes all the difference in life.
