I would definately agree. I would say that one of the biggest causes of sexual dysfunction would be anxiety. It is quite simple. When the brain precieves significant anxiety, it tends puts sexual matters on hold.
Wellbutrin is an effective antidepressant, however many people find that it does not have a very strong effect on anxiety. For many people, wellbutrin can make anxiety worse, since it does have properties of a stimulant.
If you are still experiencing significant anxiety on Wellbutrin alone, your doctor is right in trying another agent.
See how the effexor helps the anxiety. Lowering the wellbutrin may help the anxiety too.
I would say, make anxiety reduction your first priority. The rest may follow.
