Stimulants with benzodiazepines

Posted by rjlockhart98 on October 28, 2005, at 20:17:53

About 5 months i took

Adderall 40mg
Lorazepam (Ativan) 1mg

To ease anxiety, and not get overly focused, to where you get confused.

Back in the 1960's there where numerous stimulant/barbituate combinations
Dexamyl (d-amphetamine/amobarbital)
Desbutol (d-amphetamine/pentobarbital)
Appretol (d-amphetmaine/meprobamate (miltown))

They where discontinued becuase of abuse and "non-medical purposes"

I looked up what the dosing of them where, (15mg dextroamphetamine/90mg amobarbital) no wonder it was not used for ADD, sedative was to strong.

Barbiturates arnt used hardly anymore, Lorazepam at 1mg with a stimulant would help with not anxiousness, and overfocus.

DexAtivan (20mg d-amphetamine/1 mg Lorazepam) could be a idea.

What to you think?
