If you're interested in an atypical neuroleptic with a short half life, your best bets are Geodon (7 hrs avg) and Seroquel (8 hours avg). Seroquel is much more sedating, though, but has been proven beneficial for bipolar depression and anxiety. (The sedation is also rumored to wear off.)
Geodon's one of the newer kids on the block. It's less sedating, and based on its receptor binding profile it should be pretty darn good for depression and anxiety. (There's only a small short term study on it for anxiety, nothing formal on depression.)
