Nitrous Oxide- you know, laughing gas.
Has anyopne had an unpleasant experience from the gas?I had a very low-concentrated dose of the gas when I got my cavities filled, I felt like I was floating- I was terrified I would hit the ceiling, and every sound I heard reverberated and echoed, like what happens when I have a panic attack. I couldn't talk so I just pulled the mask off and my dentist was asking me "whats wrong?" but I couldn't move my mouth. I thought, yet again, that I was dying, and made quite an *ss of myself. Soon I just felt flu-ish and nauseous.
It was quite unpleasant.
I've done exhaustive research (via google) and found no incidences of nitrous oxide inducing panic; conversly, it is used mainly to PREVENT panic attacks in anxious patients.
my mom loves the way it makes her feel; she gets laughing gas when she get's a simple cleaning!
has ANYONE besides me had an unpleasant experience w/ nitrious oxide?
i'm just curious.
