Many people describe an akathisia-like side effect that makes them feel restless and sometimes anxious. Insomnia is also a possibility. It usually dissipates. Therapeutically, Abilify often provides more energy and motivation. I find it to be a very clean drug with regard to cognitive function.
Geodon is a very unpredictable drug. As has already been described, it really does seem capable of precipitating manias. I found it to be the most cognitively blunting and stupifying of all the APs I have tried, especially at dosages over 60mg.
