Norepinephrine and headaches? Menstuation?

Posted by Racer on April 26, 2005, at 21:09:53

Last week, my adored Dr CattleProd upped my Wellbutrin XL to 300mg, and left my Cymbalta at 30mg. I've run out of Provigil, so off that for a few days. And I've taken a few days worth of Ambien, but not last night and I think I won't need it again for a bit.

Now for my questions:

I've been having headaches almost daily for a bit now, and he says that that's the increased NE. What's the deal there? Anyone know? I'm less concerned about it, but am curious about the mechanisms.

And then there's my menstrual cycle -- suddenly, my period is lasting for days! It has been about 36 hours for most of my life, now suddenly it's lasting four days, five days? The same sort of thing happened on Strattera, when my period actually turned NORMAL! 28 day cycles, 7 day periods.

Of course, this is complicated by my eating disorder, which may be why my period was so short to begin with. Now that I'm getting treatment for it, that may influence my cycle, too. As might my age.

So, does anyone know anything about girlie things and norepinephrine?

Thanks!
