In case anyone is interested........
In the UK, you can't get name-brand benzos on the National Health Service. Only generics are available. If you want the name-brand eg. Valium, you have to get a private prescription. Because of this, many of the well known name-brands have been discontinued completely in the UK eg. Ativan is no longer available here, only the generic lorazepam.
The only exception to the rule is clonazepam (Roche's Rivotril - Klonopin to you). For some reason, we don't have a generic clonazepam here.
I've never had the opportunity to try Valium, I've only ever taken generic diazepam. I'm not sure who the manufacturer was, probably APS, Berk, COX or DDSA.
