Hi Rainee, Cogentin is an atropine like drug. It is a muscarinic cholinergic antagonist which means that it blocks acetylcholine from activating muscarinic receptors throughout the body. Acetylcholine is the neurotransmitter that controls muscles, too much gives you involuntary movement & restlessness.
