I was on Mellaril for a brief period, after I developed psychotic mania from SSRIs. I was put on 200 mg/day. I don't much remember what it was like, other than I finally could sleep again. Years later, I was desperate for something to help me sleep, and I took 25 mg. Bad call! I have no idea how I could have tolerated the higher dose, as that much smaller one was very unpleasant. I threw the remainder in the trash.
