This isn't a definitive answer, but it should tide you over until one comes along. (Chemist is probably the expert here, but he's on leave right now...)
Xanax is supposed to be the cleanest of the benzo type drugs, with very specific activity. It hits one receptor, and only that one, so there are fewer effects. Basically, it comes along and it does its job and it leaves the place the way it found it otherwise. I believe it's the only one of the benzo type drugs with that level of specificity.
From that standpoint, I'd have to say that Xanax might be the best choice. On the other hand, some of those side effects from the others might be beneficial, and some of them have longer effective lives in the body, so there might be some benefit to the klonopin. One of the resident experts will be along and give a better answer, and probably address all that for you. Talking to your doctor will also help.
And, doctors being a factor in all this, if your doctor will prescribe klonopin and not Xanax, that's your answer right there. (Sad but true)
