I would think it would be safe, because you have melatonin and nardil interacting already. There has never been a safety issue raised of a problem between the two.
One problem with melatonin supplements I have seen is the dose. For some unknown reason, the standard pill size I come across has 3 mg melatonin. That is 8 or 10 times the normal physiological concentration in your brain. For many people, that dose is totally ineffective, because too much melatonin is as ineffective at inducing sleep as too little. It doesn't have a linear dose response. I break 3 mg pills down into pieces, to get about .4 mg (roughly, 1/8 of the original size). Others find 1/4 or 1/2 effective, so you need to do a little experimenting. Melatonin doesn't cause serotonin syndrome, or anything like that.
