mirapex and requip for restless leg syndrome

Posted by gracie99 on July 26, 2004, at 19:43:03

While reading through other posts noticed that one person felt it would be impossible to get the dopamine agonist mirapex unless one has Parkinsons.

Not so. Mirapex is also prescribed for restless leg syndrome (RLS), a fairly common condition.

Several other dopamine agonists are also prescribed for RLS, including Requip.

Neither seems to help my mood at all. The principle side effect is drowsiness. I prefer Mirapex (taken for RLS) to Requip because it seems to make me less drowsy in effective doses.
