I don't remember the exact numbers, but I have read that HGH is primarily released during the first 3(?) hours of sleep and only during stage 3-4 sleep. If one is not getting into stage 3-4 sleep (restorative sleep) it kind of makes sense that would result in a deficiency of HGH. I'm not saying that HGH would improve sleep though. HGH is said to impact all the other hormones. An MRI report stated that I have a small pituitary. Could this be a result of reduced hypothalmic activity? Reduced HGH?
