Meds after gastric bypass surgery

Posted by Mandybella on June 9, 2004, at 11:57:01

I am having gastric bypass surgery in two weeks and have heard all kinds of stories about how my anti-depressants will (or will not) work after surgery. I take Wellbutrin Xl, lexapro, lamictal, and seroquel. Some in am and some in pm. I am told that even one pill will fill my stomach. I would be curious to hear from anyone else who has had this surgery. Do your meds need adjustment? And if so, how? My psychiatrist is not too sure what to predict. Obviously I want this surgery, but I would like to be sure my depression does not come back. Any suggestions?? Thanks
