>> Thanks everyone for your responces. It helps me to perspectivize things. It's hard to ask hard questions like these to people who are close to you because you never know how they will react. I dont want to upset her with my concers and I dont even know if my concerns are founded, in todays age of a pill for every problem. Thanx bunches for your replys. -Krunk I am starting to belive her sex drive and sleep schedule are Lex related but now feel perhaps the Ashma and skin may have some other cause. The forgetflness is what worries me the most. She rarely is able to say what she had for lunch, or where she went yesterday. It's amaising. Her shortterm memory is gone. Please anyone who has any thoughts, advise , or comments on this please feel free to chime in. -Krunk <<

Krunk, how long has she been on Lex and at what dose? How did she build up her dose to the present level?
When did the side effects become noticeable?
All these questions may be relevant because there is often a period when starting SSRIs (such as Lexapro) when the med has not kicked in but the side effects are present. This is the hard period.
SSRIs are often not taken for long enough to judge them. Too low a dose may also be a problem. Some people can tolerate more than others so don't be fixated by the reference guide suggestions for dosage. For some conditions three or four times the dose for depression may be needed and may be tolerated by some people.
Having said all that, each SSRI can affect different people differently. It is possible that your daughter is one who can not tolerate them well and Lex is one of the easier to tolerate ones.
Good luck.
