Hello
I am considering taking Sulpiride 50mg daily for SA. Heard that it can be helpful and gives a boost to sociability and dampenes anxiety.
Sulpiride is used at high doses 800-1200mg for the treatment of Schizophrenia. At those high doses it inhibits dopamine activity.
However, at low doses 50-150mg, it blocks dopamine's autoreceptors, and thus gives a signal to the cells to release more dopamine.
Has anyone used Sulpiride for SA? What dosage, and was it effective?
P.S. I got the feeling of the "extra" dopamine when I gave Rhodiola Rosea a try. It was very effective for anxiety and made me much more gregarious. I had to stop taking Rhodiola because I been put on Wellbutrin (for mild concentration problems).
I am considering taking Sulpiride at very low doses + 0.5mg Klonopin. I think that will give 80% relief.
Also does it lose it's effectiviness after sometime? What about side-effects?
Thanks a lot,
Christina
