Hi Sooshi.
I tried Zonegran for a few weeks several months ago. I am trying to treat bipolar depression. I discontinued it into the second week because I developed intense itching that my doctor thought was an allergic reaction, so I can't comment on its therapeutic potential. I have also tried Topamax. I found Zonegran to be much cleaner than Topamax with respect to cognitive side effects. Also, it did not exacerbate my depression the way Topamax did. I did find that Zonegran suppressed my appetite somewhat. Wish I could have been of more help.
