Your milage mage very, but it's not a reason not to try a drug, and I question how prevalent your tolerance concern is when it's taken regularly as prescribed. I've needed to "rotate" meds, but that's b/c I'll gradually get less tolerable side effects months into the same stimulant.
Augmenting with high doses of Straterra is always a wise idea. I'm going on the stuff for the first time tomorrow, and will be at 80mg in 2 weeks. You just need to stomach whatever side effects might occur initially for the first couple of weeks, and you may need lower doses of a stim, so you'll have fewer side effects.
