It might be stomach acid reflux. I am dealing with this right now, and it is listed at least once as a low-frequency side effect.
I started out getting nausea and stomach aches with Wellbutrin (I'm taking 150mg of XL), but these have subsided now that I'm taking it with food. I was also getting heartburn and occassional stomach acid burps. These, too have subsided EXCEPT AT NIGHT. I'm getting nightly acid reflux... I wake up with a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. I drink water and pop 2-3 tums, which seems to help. Tums before bed also helps, but doesn't solve the problem entirely.
I may end up dropping the Wellbutrin because of this issue, even though it really seems to be helping my depressive temperment. My sister has acid reflux, too, without the drug, so I may have some genetic tendency toward it. It's caused by your lower esophagal sphincter (the door between your stomach and esophagus / throat) failing. Sleeping with a wedge or upward-tilted bed is supposed to help, but I haven't tried that yet.
But I definitely have noticed that my lower teeth aren't happy. This doesn't surprise me, because bulimics can have their teeth rot from stomach acid--whole rows of them, as you say.> Has anyone had problems with their teeth while taking Wellbutrin?
