I find that noradrenergic meds (nortriptyline, Strattera, possibly Buspar) are "emotionally activating," meaning that I feel less apathetic and indifferent to my fate when I take them.

Do you find your current meds to have a different effect or is the desipramine/Remeron indistinguishable from your previous regimes or is it too soon to tell?

But in answer to your question, no, I do not believe all AD's have the same detaching effect.
