whats the difference between dextro, Levo, meth?

Hey people, i wondering why the doc's mixed dextro and levoamphetamine which is now called adderall, when instead they already had dexedrine(dextroamphetamine only) in the first place. Does each type of amphetamine have diffrent effects? Is methamphetamine and dextroamphetamine have the same effects? Well i hope i here back by somebody that knows lots about amphetamines. Thanks.
