Wellbutrin: how long?

Any experiences on Wellbutrin SR here? I'm up to 300 mg, for 8 days. Managed to get through week without rash that prevented me from taking it once before. Still worried about rumored hair loss it may cause.
Any experiences are welcome, esp. how long it takes to work. I've had no therapeutic effect yet.
